Is a program like this really necessary?
Really. (rolls eyes) Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.60 - web browser
Is ANY Program Nescessary ?
I Guess It Is To Those Who Use It - ALWAYS REMEMBER - Some Do - Some Don't I Might If I Want To - But I Won't If I'm Obliged To ;-) {BROAD SMILE} Re: Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.60 - web browser

Dude, it's smut. It dehumanizes women, treating them like sex objects instead of real people and it's just plain wrong. Perverse pleasures have become the norm today. Not quite accepted by society though, otherwise you wouldn't need a browser to keep your perverse pleasures secret and confidential.
Oh, and U3Apps, this hurts your credibility in my eyes. Come one, a porn browser?!! Raise the bar - you guys can do better. Re: Re: Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.60 - web browser

"dehumanizes"? Seriously? Do you even know what that means? Women in porn are not "dehumanized" in any way, shape or form (unless you're watching shark porn because, well, they're not humans).
Women do porn themselves. No one is forcing them so if you want to say something bad about someone say it about the people doing it, not the people watching it. Just like the TV, if you don't like it don't use it / watch it / etc. See how easy that is? Don't press your bad opinions onto anyone else. If you don't like it then don't use it. See how simple that is? Idiot Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.61 - web browser

Sure it's a porn browser -- so what? I see hundreds of apps out there that aren't "for me," but does that mean they should be yanked off the 'Net? Oh, please. You don't like it, don't use it. But for those of us who can put our shoes on without getting our toes stuck up our nostrils, we'll decide what programs we want to use, thank you. And the rest of you? Sit down and be quiet and let the adults talk.

"For those of us who can put our shoes on without getting our toes stuck up our nostrils"? Hey dude, it's called "a dead conscience". Yeah, many people out there can look in the mirror every morning, having done things much worse than that. Doesn't make a good point.
What are they going to make next? A browser for pedofiles? Sorry, just another way of normalizing immorality. Re: Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.61 - web browser

By the way, if that wasn't true they wouldn't have to make a browser that hid that kind of stuff. Think about it.

Whoa dude. I look at PORN. Ya porrn you know the stuff you're not old enough to look at, at least not mature enough. People who look at porn are those who aren't really demoralized just hyped on sex. If you have sex with the lights on you're watching porn, duh. If you want to preach about something fine but not about porn. Better subject like the war on crime, drugs, or even George Bush. Now that's a name involving porn, Bush lol. In closing, really dude, find something better to do with your time, though I do agree that child porn is sick and people who watch that crap should be SHOT. Are you one?

I tried HeatSeek out I am sorry. After looking at the program for a few minutes, I found that I have spyware on my computer. In addition, the spyware infected the other computers in my house.
I have not figured out how to remove the spyware but I think that I will have to format my hard drive and reinstall everything. Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.61 - web browser

We don't contain any spyware at all (also certified spyware-free by Softpedia and others), and the program does its best to protect you against spyware and malware from these types of sites. You can also disable Javascript completely in the Preferences menu which protects you further.
We hate spyware as much as you do...it sucks and gives a bad name to the software industry in general. -The Heatseek Team Re: Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.61 - web browser

This browser leaves a copy of every file it downloads in the temporary internet files folder.
That's not really portable and "secure". So, people, if you really want to browse porn sites, do so with Firefox. Re: Re: UPDATE: HeatSeek 1.0.0.62 - web browser

Hi - we took a look into this report, and found a bug which affects some files that you download manually from websites. We are going to release version 1.0.0.63 which will fix this, likely today or Monday at the latest.
Until then - you can check the box in Edit: Preferences: Privacy which says to remove entire browser cache when Heatseek exits. This will also fix the problem for now. Thank you for reporting this. The Heatseek Team nice demo

while i'd never use a program like this (not into internet porn), i know quite a few people who would. i found the link while looking for a U3 word processor. in response to any comments about "is this necessary" i'd have to say, yes, knowing many folks who would flip over the save a scene feature shown in the demo. anyway, thanks heatseek people for a few laughs while viewing the demo. the honesty that went into the labeling of photos, folders, and movie names was hysterical. oh yeah, and the demo tune was catchy.
now if only i can find a good word processor... Re: nice demo

Is it possible to update HeatSeek to open new windows or tabs? I have been curious so I actually used the product. I just tested simple sites such as google etc. I found that I can only select links and not open them in a seperate window which became quite annoying.

Hello - right now HeatSeek supports just a single browsing window, though tabs is something we are strongly considering. Obviously the browser is more geared toward adult sites where tabs are typically less used (you can only be focusing on so many things at once *wink*).

While you guys are at it, you might as well take it one step further and develop a browser for child porn.
Oh, I'm sorry. Don't approve of that? Okay, well just give it enough time. People will come around eventually. Then you can develop it. Sheesh. Re: Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.0.0.72 - web browser

Hello - you might want to read the HeatSeek site a little more. We actually help fight illegal activity by allowing users to report illegal sites to ASACP. HeatSeek also lets parents safely protect their children from finding adult materials they choose to view on their computer. We've received several emails from parents thanking us for the software.
You're of course free to choose what you look at on the internet and elsewhere, and everyone has their own moral judgements. The fact is that adult content is prevalent both online and offline, and a majority of adults look at this material both online and offline, so it would more correctly be called the "norm" rather than "abnormal". Hey, in other words, there are no real moral judgments. You've just inadvertently approved child porn. After all, everyone has their own moral judgments, right? No wonder society is messed up. The truth is, people say this but society wouldn't be able to survive if we all truly lived by this axiom. You're software does more than just hide porn from children (which, if so, is commendable) but that's not the sole purpose. Let's admit. Nuff' said. When you log into the U3 software download site, one of the first things you see is the HeetSeek software. This software can serve as the opposite of minor protection with such up-front advertising...it can help minors keep adult content from the proper authorities. If adults choose to view this material, they are staying within the bounds of the law, however the U3 Cruzer flash drive is used as a tool by minors and adults. I am sure that U3 has no intention of possibly causing a minor to download this software, so I would advise U3 to remove "HeetSeek from the startup page and be more conscientous of their clients in the future.

I`m in a hurry, excuse my grammar and spelling
two things want to say: 1) adult vs child porn: You have to be very stupid to compare these two, and even more to state that approval of the first leads to approval of the other. seriously! why? obvious: No harm in the first one, lots of it in the latter. in adult porn, consenting people fuck in front of cameras, and are aware that the video will be amply distributed for the sexual pleasure of others. Since both participants and viewers are well aware of their acts and no one is forced to participate or watch, there are no moral (nor legal) concerns here. that is of course, for open-minded people who respect differences of thought, or regular people that have no trouble accepting fucking is pleasurable for everyone. (Limitating children`s access to see adult porn is of course mandatory, but its difficulties are no excuse to bann adult porn, just as the same difficulties are no excuse to bann action films, music lyrics, and freedom of speech) Completely different scenario for child porn: participants do not fully (or even partially) understand the situation, therefore they are NOT consenting participants. This is a cristal clear case of child abuse, independently of child`s parents point of view. Therefore this activity is completely inmoral, and by the way, highly ilegal. If you can`t see the differences between adult and child porn, or even worse, you see them but refuse to admit them, then this issue is simply way out of mental faculties. You are better of praying to your non-fucking ascetic god, and don`t messing with the lives of others who are not affecting yours with their acts. 2) now, to normal people: question regarding malware and spyware. I am no computer guy, so please excuse me if question is stupid. can my computer get infected if i browse with heatseek and only download to the usb drive?? if so, what`s the best way to avoid/clean infections, beside the disabling java thing already mentioned?? Peace out! keep fucking! Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.1.0.8 - web browser

Hi! HeatSeek can help protect you against spyware and malware through it's built-in popup blocking system. Also, you can fully disable web page scripts from running, which will prevent even the nasty sites from executing malware on your system.
HeatSeek itself contains absolutely no spyware or anything evil, so you're safe to use the program. Hope this helps! Re: Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.1.0.8 - web browser

Another tip -- avoid clicking on anything suspicious. This may seem obvious, but beware of fake ads that look like Windows messages and the like.
Also, we recommend using any of the typical anti-virus type software, such as Windows Defender (in Vista at least). Also, visit quality websites..those with good reputations for treating customers nicely. The HeatSeek start page has a bunch of these in many different categories. I'm totally against "comment porn". That's where the Bible Thumpers and Republican Right(eous) flood websites with nonsensical arguments against the freedom of responsible adults to look at erotic imagery and keep that fact to themselves. Arguing that this 'helps hide child porn' is like saying no one should ever drive a car because it helps kill people.
You people need to look very closely at YOUR OWN LIVES and stop worrying about what others are doing because it always seems to turn out that the people who bellow the loudest about "Family Values" are found to be the BIGGEST ABUSERS. You want to know why the worlds is so seriously F***ed up right now? It's because of people like you who are to consumed with cleaning up everyone else's backyard so as to throw suspicions off of your OWN MISDEEDS. You want to "change the world"?!? START AT HOME WITH YOU AND YOUR OWN FAMILIES!!! Once you get *that* accomplished THEN you can come around and show me by example. Until then STFU! Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.1.0.8 - web browser

"You people need to look very closely at YOUR OWN LIVES and stop worrying about what others are doing because it always seems to turn out that the people who bellow the loudest about "Family Values" are found to be the BIGGEST ABUSERS."
This is often due to the fact that these people have at least stated a moral standard, even if they have violated them. It's easy for you if you don't have a standard, okay everything that people (thus okaying it). People who don't have many moral standards, or at all, normally will not be caught in anything since they hold themselves to hardly anything at all. Think about it. And I was talking, in regards to adult porn and child porn about the changing of standards. Years ago adult porn was seen as reprehensible in society's eyes. In ancient Greece, it was deemed okay for grown men to have sexual relations with 12 year olds. Believe me, by what people are pushing in government today, the acceptance of child porn or the things that may follow due to a humanistic standard of reasoning, is bound to follow. People tend to follow the crowd if nothing else. Just give it several hundred years and a lowering of standards. It'll come. Re: Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.1.0.8 - web browser

Ok lets look at this a different way.
I want to use a PC to look at a web site and leave no trace on the PC that I have been there. e.g.Internet banking from an internet Cafe from a work related issue, contact a site but not have theclient know what you are doing like reading e-mails HeatSeek should work, better would be a pen drive Linux installation, see http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/09/19/portable-qemu-persistent-pendrivelinux The downside of this is getting to any saved files. Depends on what you want to do... any why Re: Re: Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.1.0.8 - web browser

It doesn't what browser you use and on what computer. If you are using any browser on any pc on a corporate network, chances are pretty damn high that you are going through a proxy server which means that your activity is still being recorded anyway.

There needs to be a way to change the Heatseek name and icon in the U3 menu. It's not exactly private when anyone opening the flash drive can look up the Heastseek name to find out it's a porn browser. The same icon and name change you can do upon minimization should be applied to the U3 menu.
Re: Re: UPDATED: HeatSeek 1.2.02.17 - web browser
Unfortunately the U3 development system doesn't let you customize the icon / program name during the install. The PC version has this feature!
